Dragonfly
Dreaming® is a special treasure - utterly natural body care
products that wed the uplifting beauty and aromatherapeutic properties
of pure essential oils with the herbal healing traditions of many
cultures.
'Aesthetic healing' for body and
spirit...
established in 1997, on lifetimes
of experience...

 |
Dragonfly Dreaming® was actually conceived in 1995 ~ with a
baby on the way, and nothing but petrochemical commercial
products on the market, my long-standing passion for essential oils,
ethnobotany, wiidcrafting and herbalism was given a focus
in creating 'things' for myself and my wee one...
More of that story another time .... but our products have grown
(as have we) and have well stood the test of time and helped
many, many people.
Dragonfly Dreaming® products contain only the finest grade
essential oils and plant oils and butters: no synthetic fragrances,
petrochemicals, formaldyhide, mineral oils, nut oils or animal oils -
the only things that don't come from plants are organic Vancouver
Island beeswax and zinc oxide in some products, and stabilizers and
preservatives in the few products containing aloe vera.
We develop and create all our unique products from the ground up,
literally, in the gorgeous Cowichan Valley, on Vancouver Island,
Canada. We grow our own lavender - certified organic - and distil it
ourselves; we harvest calendula, wildcraft St. John's Wort and other
herbs at our family's high mountain retreat here in the Valley to
make our infusions and as far as possible, we source what we can't grow
ourselves from original producers.
Other decisions - like packaging - are always made with the environment
in mind although plastics are unavoidable in some cases. But you won't
have a lot of extraneous cardboard to deal with when you purchase
Dragonfly Dreaming® goodies!
Dragonfly Dreaming was recognized by the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics in
its early days, and we are honoured to be signers of their pact to
bring an end to carcinogens in cosmetics - we encourage you to visit
their web site, it's a tremendous eye opener!

Environment,
ethics & integrity - Dragonfly's been at it for decades.

Dragonfly's Lavender Summer @ Home Show & Sale with
Visions Extravaganza Art Studio Tour
Dragonfly Studio, 3616 Garland Avenue, Cobble Hill Village
Visions is always a popular summer event in Cowichan, and this
year we have expanded to include 24 studios for a full ten days -
Dragonfly will be joined by friends Anna Watkin and her charming
photography and Brad Allen and his whimsical metal art works - we'll
also welcome Elle Esthetics Studio for some well deserved foot rubs for
our guests in the garden...
The lavender will be in full bloom; distilling demonstrations
will be taking place as harvesting and weather permit. There may
even be some lavender lemonade on hand!
But most certainly, Dragonfly will welcome friends both old and new
with her very special organic healing balms, care for Mums & Babes
and all the other good things she concocts!

(south end) and Duncan (north end), turn west at the Fisher Road lights
(there's a Rona there - NOT the one in north Duncan!) - follow
Fisher past the Cobblestone Pub; the next right is Garland Avenue
- turn right there and come to the end - it's a cul de sac - and

Dragonfly Dreaming co-hosts the Rona MS Bike Tour Cowichan Valley Grape
Escape
Summer Show & Sale and whatever....
We've teamed up with that wonderful annual event, the MS Bike
Tour - people are jumping on their bikes all over the
country to raise funds for MS, and we've opened our gardens for them to
take a break here in the heart of Cobble Hill...
Being as we'll have to cut the lawn we decided to hold an open house
for all those city Dragonfliers who are needing a country visit ~ come
on up to Cowichan, and mind those bikes!
Directions: From the Trans Canada Highway between Mill Bay
(south end) and Duncan (north end), turn west at the Fisher Road lights
(there's a Rona there - NOT the one in north Duncan!) - follow
Fisher past the Cobblestone Pub; the next right is Garland Avenue
- turn right there and come to the end - it's a cul de sac - and

Dragonfly Is Moulting!
LOTS of big changes in stream with Dragonfly Dreaming.... can't
talk about it yet, but it has to do with a 'new look', some new folks
on the team and some new ways for you to be able to find our fabulous
products!
We'll be more specific soon (promise)!
And in the meantime, we hope to see you all during the July shows,
either here in Cobble Hill or in Victoria at the 4th Organic Islands
Festival!
All the best - Beth
